2011-09-27 - Location scouting

Been location scouting after a nice and quite place with some decent nearby lights.

We have a night shoot that we to do as cheap as possible so we need to use available lights and a LED panel.

Nothing beats the feeling of a fresh installed workstation! ;)

2011-08-24 - Adobe CS5.5

So my copy of Cs5.5 showed up at the door and first impression is a little more snappier Premiere Pro. I guess they made some improvements in their mercury engine because the start/stop delay when editing avchd is almost gone.

Im also gonna see what Audition can offer, at first glanze it seems pretty darn powerful.

2011-08-02 - Storyboarding

I've found this really cool program called Frameforge Previz which allows you to storyboard your entire movie with fully customizable 3D characters and objects. The last two days I've been storyboarding my soon-to-be full feature film "Emendo", a dark scifi thriller. It's a real rush watching your movie come together like this!

2011-07-26 - Jibb time!

Time to do some seroius jibbing today.

A steppermotor mod is in the works and I may have found a suitable solution,  those jerky start and stop are somewhat annoying.. 

2011-07-15 - In front of the camera

Last weekend was one of those few times I happened to be in front of the camera. It was really good fun,  and a whole new appreciation was founded for all the hard work from the actors out there.

Remembering your line is one thing but to keep the same energy and performance after the eleventh take is just not that easy. You should try it.

2011-06-27 - Trying out the jib

The jibb is finished and I tried it out last weekend. Works pretty good and I think I can get even better results with some practice.

Some day I will probably mod the proaim head anf install frictiongears to eliminate all backlash and switch to steppermotors.
